How Rychiger Pharmatech can help you look younger: Our filling and sealing solutions for hyaluronic acid
We all wish that we could look like how we did when we were 21, and Hyaluronic Acid is helping to make that dream a reality. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a viscous gel-like substance found naturally in many parts of the human body such as the knees, shoulders, and ankles. It was first discovered in the vitreous humour of the eye by Karl Meyer and John Palmer in 1934, and then later synthesised in-vitro in 1964.
Due to its high-water retention, biocompatibility and viscoelasticity, Hyaluronic Acid has proven to be useful in the fields of medicine, aesthetic medicine, and dermal cosmetics. In Particular, HA today is most widely known for its use in dermal fillers that come in pre-filled syringes and help to smooth out wrinkles and lines on your face.
Z-Lab bench-top systems: Lab-scale production in a compact form factor
New HA products start their life in the R&D laboratory, and with the pressure to meet market demands to get the product out as quickly and efficiently as possible, many small company operated formulation labs might opt for a more flexible semi-automated scale of production. In particular, when it comes to small-scale batch manufacturing, many customers expect flexibility in their semi-automated filling and stoppering equipment.
This is where the Rychiger Pharmatech Z-Lab comes into play. Its filling systems are equipped with easily adjustable settings, allowing for bubble-free filling and stoppering of different formulations and product viscosities. The compact design of the Z-Lab allows for it to fit inside laminar-flow hoods and even isolator containment solutions, all while retaining the same technology and process parameters as their larger cousins that are found in fully automated filling lines.

Rychiger Pharmatech bubble-free mixing, supply, and filling solutions
When it comes to the production of HA products, the presence of bubbles can pose a large risk as they can lead to the loss of many batches. Recognising this problem, engineers at Rychiger Pharmatech AG focused their efforts on working with customers to ensure reliable and affordable bubble-free mixing and supply of viscous HA.
Once the HA substance has been mixed, It is then fed to the filling line, which uses a vacuum to ensure that no air is reintroduced to the substance. This guarantees no bubbles, and therefore, no potential loss of product. With Rychiger Pharmatech technology, you can extract the maximum possible product and minimise rejects upstream in the filling line, ensuring optimal efficiency and process conditions in the production of your products.

Z-810: Fully automatic multi-format PFS filling and closing machine
Are you looking to scale up your manufacturing process? If yes, then Rychiger Pharmatech has got you covered as well. Our Z-810 PFS filling line is a fully automated filling and closing machine which can process up to 5000/hr using the same bubble-free technology found in other Rychiger Pharmatech models. Whether it be PFS, vials, cartridges, or other formats, the Z-810 can be upgraded or supplied for all Ready-To-Use (RTU) nested formats.
The Z-810 also makes use of robotic handling to manage the different formats and remove the operator from the manufacturing process, further increasing efficiency. This combined with the ability to install gravimetric In-Process Control (IPC) to the filling lines, ensures that the multi-format Z-810 provides maximum flexibility and cost-effectiveness to any manufacturing facility.
