Auger filler are used where powder are not free-floating or tend to segregate.

Volumetric powder dosing is better known as vacuum / pressure dosing. The powder is aspired into a pocket by means of a vacuum and dosed with pressure into the container.

Weighing technologies can be applied for flowing, homogenous products. In the pharmaceutical and chemical industry weighers are used to fill up chemicals, pharmaceuticals or granules by weight. The dosing is done via vibrating elements. The product is preweighed and dosed into the container.
Advantages: No mechanical load on the product, dosing according to weight
Examples: Globules, small tablets such as Schüssler, powder (free flowing)
